Our intensive 60-day German A1–B1 programme is designed to take learners through all three foundational CEFR levels: A1 (Beginner), A2 (Elementary) and B1 (Intermediate).

01 WEEK 1 – Introduction to German & Basic Communication • Introduction to the German language and CEFR levels. • German alphabet and pronunciation. • Vowels, consonants and special characters (ä, ö, ü, ß). • Greetings and introductions. • German numbers, dates and days. • Personal pronouns. • Introduction to verbs and infinitives. • Conjugation of regular verbs. • Verb conjugation: sein and haben. • Basic sentence structure and W-Fragen. • Vocabulary: countries, languages, professions and personal information. Speaking: Introducing yourself in German.
02 WEEK 2 – Grammar Foundation & Everyday Vocabulary • Definite and indefinite articles: der, die, das, ein, eine. • Noun genders and plural formation. • Nominative case. • Personal pronouns in the nominative. • Regular and irregular verbs. • Yes/No questions and W-questions. • Negation: nicht and kein. • Possessive articles: mein, dein, sein, ihr. • Word order and basic sentence formation. • Vocabulary: family, hobbies, education, professions and daily activities. Speaking: Talking about family, hobbies and everyday life.
03 WEEK 3 – Building Practical A1 Communication • Accusative case. • Accusative articles and pronouns. • Modal verbs: können, müssen, wollen, dürfen, sollen and mögen. • Separable and inseparable verbs. • Imperative sentences. • Time expressions and daily routines. • Introduction to dative case. • Prepositions and basic usage. • Introduction to perfect tense (Perfekt). • Vocabulary: food, shopping, transport, places and directions. • Reading, writing and listening exercises. Speaking: Shopping, ordering food, asking directions and making appointments.
04 A1 Assessment: Grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and speaking practice.
05 WEEK 4 – Strengthening Grammar & Sentence Formation • Revision of A1 grammar. • Detailed study of nominative, accusative and dative. • Definite, indefinite and negative articles. • Personal pronouns in accusative and dative. • Possessive articles in different cases. • Two-way prepositions (Wechselpräpositionen). • Dative and accusative prepositions. • Reflexive verbs. • Introduction to subordinate clauses. • Vocabulary: home, city, travel and accommodation. Speaking: Describing your home, city and surroundings.
06 WEEK 5 – Past, Present & Future Communication • Perfekt tense in detail. • Auxiliary verbs: haben and sein. • Past participles (Partizip II). • Introduction to Präteritum. • Future tense (Futur I). • Modal verbs in different contexts. • Comparative and superlative forms. • Adjective endings: introductory and practical applications. • Conjunctions: weil, dass, wenn, obwohl. • Vocabulary: health, travel, work and lifestyle. Speaking: Discussing past experiences, future plans and health.
07 WEEK 6 – Practical Communication & A2 Consolidation • Subordinate clause structures. • Infinitive clauses with zu. • Imperative and polite requests. • Adjective declension consolidation. • Dative and accusative sentence construction. • Prepositional verbs. • Relative clauses: introduction. • Writing informal and formal emails. • Reading comprehension. • Listening comprehension. • Everyday dialogues and role-plays. • A2 examination-style exercises. Speaking: Travel situations, appointments, complaints and making arrangements.
08 A2 Assessment: Integrated four-skill practice and mock examination.
09 WEEK 7 – Intermediate Grammar & Communication • Comprehensive case revision. • Advanced adjective declension. • Relative clauses and relative pronouns. • Subordinate clauses and conjunctions. • Advanced use of modal verbs. • Passive voice: introduction. • Reflexive and reciprocal verbs. • Infinitive clauses with um … zu and ohne … zu. • Vocabulary: education, career, society and environment. Speaking: Expressing personal opinions and discussing experiences.
10 WEEK 8 – Advanced Sentence Formation & Expression • Passive voice in present and past contexts. • Konjunktiv II: würde, hätte, wäre and modal verbs. • Indirect questions. • Connectors and cohesive sentence structures. • Genitive case: introduction and usage. • Prepositional verbs and verb-preposition combinations. • Advanced word order. • Writing formal and informal emails. • Writing personal opinions and short essays. • Vocabulary: technology, media, culture, environment and relationships. Speaking: Giving suggestions, expressing opinions, making requests and discussing social topics.
11 WEEK 9 – B1 Application, Fluency & Examination Preparation • Comprehensive A1–B1 grammar revision. • Complex sentence construction. • Reading comprehension with longer texts. • Listening to everyday conversations and discussions. • Structured writing: emails, letters and opinions. • Describing pictures and experiences. • Expressing agreement and disagreement. • Giving reasons and supporting arguments. • Discussion and presentation practice. • B1 examination-style mock tests. • Individual speaking practice and feedback. • Final assessment and performance review. Speaking: Independent discussions on familiar topics, experiences, plans and opinions.
